Roaster's Choice 121607 Ethiopia Harrar Trabocca Oromia - FTO

This is a rare find among the 2007 Harrar lots as it has been a difficult year for this region. In the cup you will find apricot, cinnamon, fragrant spice, and hints of macadamia nut. As it cools there is a wild tea-like aspect that befits this strangely dynamic cup.

A welcome addition to your tastebuds.

Angel Tree for Homeless Pets

angel tree 2007

This holiday season, caffe d'bolla is giving a slice of Heaven to our four footed friends! caffe d'bolla is hosting an angel tree to support the needs of the animals at No More Homeless Pets.

Roaster's Choice 120107 El Salvador San Emilio Estate

This 100% natural processed Bourbon hails from the Northernmost area of El Salvador. It is a SHB (strictly hard bean) and it's density translates to the cup. Whether roasted to City+ or a Full City Roast, this coffee is sweetness in the cup.

A naturally syrupy body with nut and balanced fruit tones layered within a mild bittersweet chocolate. Darker roasts accentuate the bittersweet chocolate tones, while a lighter roast will present a greater balance between bright and bittersweet.

Roaster's Choice 112507
Sumatra Gayo Mountain *Special Process*

This coffee undergoes a special drying process, where the skin of the coffee cherry is pulped on the farm, but the mucilage, parchment and silverskin remain intact. It is then dried and transfered to a central mill (Gayo Mountain) where it undergoes further drying. The mucilage and parchment layer are finally removed and then careful hand sorting to remove immature beans begins.

In the cup this coffee is deep dry chocolate fragrance and winey fruit with sandlewood and clove throughout the finish.
A remarkable cup.

Roaster's Choice 111707 Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Kochere District

John says...

With the short Holiday week ahead of us, I am roasting a coffee that has a shorter degas period so you can enjoy it throughout the week. This coffee is In-Your-Face goodness with bright and vibrant flavors throughout the cup.

Tasting Notes:
Sweet jasmine and honeysuckle aromatics with lime and other citrus notes in the cup.

A hint of 'all-world' spice flavors pleasantly linger long after your last sip. This unique Yirgacheffe is highly recommended.

SHO•SHIN Single Origin Espresso - Brazil

John Says...

Shoshin is a Japanese concept found in Zen and the martial arts. It means "beginner's mind". Pure. Open to new experiences.

There are many beans out there that can make a great Single Origin Espresso, but not all beans have the necessary elements. As this coffee and espresso journey continues, I will be offering a selection of beans whose origin characteristics can be showcased as Single Origin Espresso. I hope you will join us on this taste adventure with our first offering from Brazil.

This Brazilian offering comes from a small Micro-Region in the highlands of Cerrado, Brazil and consists of Bourbon, Mundo Nova, and Catuai cultivars which undergo a special raised-bed screen drying process at one milling station.

silly cups

Yiching says--

We use these thinner and softer cups for our iced drinks at the caffe that can be sealed on the top (so we don't need to use lids) and more eco-friendly.

We love these cups, but because they are softer, we'd see some silly ones once in a while...

funky cup

Of course we don't use them on customers. We put them away and use them ourselves.

At least they are still sealable, and are unique and sorta cool looking.
