Roasting Recap

John Says--

This week I was featuring Ethiopian Sidamo, and have SOLD OUT on the Roast to Order for that particular coffee. You've gotta be quick. We've got some rockin' coffees in, don't miss out!

I have also sold an additional couple of pounds of the Ethiopian Harrar--Fantastic Blueberry. Blueberry in the cup, blueberry in the aroma...with a *hint* of chocolate as it cools. It's a wonderful coffee! Yum!

no more apricots

Yiching says--

Thanks for all of your kind words and concerns. John is feeling a bit better now. I guess there won't be any dried apricots for him for a while!

We ARE OPEN today. I decided to come and open the store, but since John was still having a slight fever, I had him stay at home with the dogs. So I took the tables and chairs out onto the patio and everything!

So if you'd like to come down to the caffe today, see me and have a great drink, please do so.

We will be OPEN on the morning of Wednesday, March 22nd. Please stay tuned for some fun news.

Sorry for any inconvenience. We look forward to seeing you soon.

puck cake

Yiching says--

A lovely coffee ground "puck" will come out of a properly extracted shot of espresso, and just to show John that I've been pulling good shots, I collected some coffee pucks to make a coffee puck cake. Fun! Maybe we can try to make a puck castle some time in the future.

Roasting to Order

John says--

As of March 6th we are now roasting whole bean coffee to order. Orders placed on Monday and Tuesday will be roasted on Tuesday. Orders placed on Wednesday and Thursday will be roasted on Thursday. Friday-Sunday are used to roast and test new blends for the caffe.

Doris was our first whole bean customer. She comes in every morning and either gets fresh brewed press pot coffee or an Americano. She got a pound for her book club. I trust all will go well.

I just finished todays' roasting for the newest group of our fantastic customers.

Come enjoy some fantastic fresh roasted whole bean coffee. You'll love it!

Costa Rica La Minita Tarrazu

The Press Pot Coffee we are brewing and roasting now is Costa Rica La Minita Tarrazu. This is the perfect Costa Rican coffee. It's clean and sweet aromatics with apple, spice, and vanilla entwined with subtle chocolate notes. Milled and prepared entirely by Hacienda La Manita. Yummy!
